9 x 2.5 Tapestry. Screenprint.
Except for the actual silhouettes, the Image Identified Tapestry is comprised entirely of borrowed screens from friends and those who were in my vicinity. The premise of my final print is how we both define and are defined/influenced by our artifacts, activities and one another. The resulting piece uses human silhouettes which are literally made up of the imagery that I was blindly given to work with.
I masked the screens in a fashion that isolates the shapes which emphasize the gestural stress-points of the figures. The scale of each figure is relatively similar to create active but ambiguous relationships between them. The large format tapestry compliments the grand scope of our influence.
